A small bathroom can also be functional - learn how to decorate it!

Designing and decorating a small bathroom requires good planning, to design a small bathroom that will combine functionality with a delightful appearance. Contrary to appearances, the bathroom is a room where we spend a lot of time. Your grooming procedures alone take time. No wonder you want the room to resemble a spa. However, many people feel that they're bathrooms are too small. A small bathroom is the bane of most flats. Fortunately, even a small area does not have to stand in the way of realising your dream of a home spa.

Furniture for a small bathroom – functional solutions

A functional bathroom must not be cluttered. That is why you need to provide yourself with a suitable storage space. In particular closed bathroom furniture. Closed furniture for the bathroom is recommended because open and semi-open cabinets expose cosmetics and accessories, which is the cause of chaos in a small room. Closed cupboards will make the space look tidy. It is also worth forgetting about cabinets without legs. This type of furniture may seem heavy, and as a consequence it will optically reduce the space. A much better choice is furniture with legs for a small bathroom. Cupboards on legs will work well. They give the mpression of lightness and openess, which is why it is ideal for a small room.

Among the bathroom furniture, it is also worth considering column cabinets. These narrow and high cabinets are roomy and at the same time look good even in a small bathroom. A useful trick is to opt for as many glass surfaces as possible. It is not necessary to limit yourself to a traditional mirror above the sink. Also, the fronts of furniture for the bathroom can be finished in this way. This is the perfect way to optically enlarge the space. Coloring also plays an important role. Both tiles and furniture for a small bathroom should be kept in a bright tone. All shades of white, beige and gray are recommended. If you want stronger accents, you can smuggle them in the form of accessories, e.g. towels or cups for brushes. Bright colors make the room seem much larger.

Custom-made bathroom furniture – how to use it in the attic bathroom?

If arranging a small bathroom seemed difficult, what can be said about a small attic bathroom? This type of space is even more challenging, but there are ways to do it as well. The basis here is custom-made bathroom furniture. In rooms of this type, every foot  counts, and bathroom furniture made to measure allows you to fully use the available space. Is a functional attic bathroom with a bathtub possible? Definitely yes, but the eaves should have a height of at least 5 feet. At this height, you can easily place a bathtub with a casing on it.

A small attic bathroom can also be equipped with a shower. Again, its location depends primarily on the dimensions of the eaves. If you can straighten up with it, then it means that the installation of a shower cabin is possible. However, if the eaves are too low, then the shower should be installed under a standard wall. This does not mean that the wall with bevels will remain useless. Even to an extremely low wall, furniture for the attic bathroom can be matched. Individual items will allow you to make the most of the available space.
